Uflex unveils aseptic packaging brand ASEPTO

India’s largest multinational flexible packaging materials and solutions company has unveiled the much-awaited aseptic packaging brand ASEPTO, derived from the word aseptic which means sterile. Aseptic packaging will ensure that food remains free from bacteria and other harmful microorganisms for a period of at least eight months under room temperature.
The latest offering from the packaging major will specially target the FMCG industries where demand for such product is rising with increasingly people opting for packaged food items.
Aseptic multi-layered construction enables the carton to protect the contents from various factors responsible for spoilage, thereby preserving the product's freshness and value.
The packaging increases shelf life of the product and saves dependency on cold chains, besides facilitating ease of handling for the marketers and consumers alike.
Expressing his joy while unveiling brand ASEPTO, Ashok Chaturvedi, Chairman & MD, Uflex, said, “Being a fully integrated multinational flexible packaging materials and solution company, we will also be offering specialised filling machines to our clients as a well-rounded packaging solution for their liquid products. Our Engineering Business at Noida is designing and manufacturing machines with a filling speed of 7,500 packs per hour for a typical 200 ml pack.’’
The Uflex stock did not react to the news and was trading flat at Rs 283.60 on the BSE.
