At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in dip red with a loss of 1,262.44 points or 1.55 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals dropped by 1.58 per cent, power plunged by 1.95 per cent, and auto slipped by 1.88 per cent.

Meanwhile, Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd, Bikaji Foods International Ltd, and DCM Shriram Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 3.81 per cent to trade at Rs 337.50 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Bikaji Foods International Ltd, an S&P BSE company, rose 3.68 per cent to trade at Rs 776.95 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
DCM Shriram Ltd, an S&P BSE company, gained 3.11 per cent to trade at Rs 1,159.95 apiece. The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 12th June 2025 and approved Definitive Agreements to be entered into for acquiring 100 per cent equity share capital of 'Hindusthan Speciality Chemicals Limited', having presence in Epoxy & Advanced Materials business in Bharuch, Gujarat, subject to necessary regulatory approvals.
