BSE 500: The wheels of these scrips are cruising on Dalal Street today

A mixed session on the D-Street witnessed positive momentum in Power, Utilities, Oil & Gas, while FMCG, Banking and IT stocks bore the brunt of the market participants. At the closing bell on September 6, the Sensex closed at 59,196.99, down by 0.1 per cent or 49 points.  

  JK Tyre and Apollo Tyres witnessed positive action in today’s session.   

   JK Tyre and Industries Ltd gained 8.18 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 159.45. The shares of the company hit intra-day highs and lows of Rs 161.55 and Rs 148, respectively. The shares of the leading tyre manufacturer and the pioneer of radial technology in India have been in momentum for some time surging 21.72 per cent in the last one month. The share price is fast zooming towards its 52-week high and logged at Rs 171 a piece. 

  Apollo Tyres Ltd witnessed a gain of 7.33 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 273. The shares of the company hit intra-day highs and lows of Rs 274.25 and 258.70, respectively. Monthly gains for this leading manufacturer of radial tyres in the domestic T&B segment stood at 19.03 per cent at today’s closing price. At today's high of Rs 274.25, the stock logged a fresh 52-week high.
