BSE Utilities Index slips 1.20 percent; Adani Transmission Top Loser; Penny stock Rattan Power Top index Gainer!
Adani Transmission plunged 5 per cent and was the top loser of the index, followed by BF Utilities and Reliance Infrastructure down by 4.14 per cent and 4.11 per cent each respectively.
S&P BSE Utilities Index slipped by 1.20 per cent underperforming the frontline indices after recording losses of 30.04 points, while the Sensex fell by 0.13 per cent or 66.95 points to close at 52,482.71.

Adani Power, VA Tech Wabag and Mahanagar Gas descended by more than 2 per cent each.
Subsequently, Reliance Power, Power Grid and GAIL turned bearish, ending the session in the negative territory descending more than 1 per cent each.
Penny stock Rattan Power was the top gainer of the index and soared by 4.05 per cent. JSW Energy also closed on a positive note gaining 3.48 per cent. Other stocks such as NHPC, Jai Prakash Power Ventures Ltd, Ge T&D India Ltd, Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd and Indraprastha Gas Ltd ended in green, up by more than 1 per cent each.
