HUL posts steady Q2FY20 results

Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2019. The shares of HUL closed in green on the same day, gaining by 9.95 points.

On the standalone basis, the company has reported 21.18 per cent  rise in its net profit at Rs. 1,848 crore for Q2FY20 as compared to profit of Rs. 1,525 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The net sales of the company increased by 5.17 per cent at Rs. 10,032 crore in Q2FY20 versus Rs. 9,539 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated front, the company has reported a rise of 23.42 per cent in its net profit at Rs. 1,818 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs. 1,473 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Topline of the company increased by 5.14 per cent to Rs. 10,223 crore in Q2FY20 as compared to Rs. 9,723 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.

The shares of HUL on Monday opened at Rs. 2023.00 as against Friday’s close of Rs. 2004.00 per share on the BSE. At closing hours, the stock was trading at Rs. 2014.70, gaining 0.50 per cent. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 2031.65 and intraday low was Rs. 2006.00. Its 52-week high was Rs. 2,101.50 and 52-week low was Rs. 1,500.40 per share on the BSE.
