In Tuesday’s trading session, benchmark indices wrapped up the day positively, with the Sensex closing moderately higher by 0.32 per cent at 71,336.80, and the Nifty surging by 0.43 per cent to close at 21,441.35.

The broader indices also saw gains, with Nifty Mid-Cap rising by 0.65 per cent, and Nifty Small-Cap registering a marginal increase of 0.14 per cent.

India VIX, a measure of market volatility, increased by 6.80 per cent, signaling a rise in market volatility.

Top Gainers in major sectors included Nifty Energy, Nifty Metal, Nifty Pharma, and Nifty Auto, while Nifty Media, Nifty IT, and Nifty PSU Bank were among the Top Losers.

Divi’s Laboratories, Hero Motocorp, and NTPC led the gainers, while Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, and Infosys were among the top losers in the Nifty 50.

With 1232 advancing stocks against 830 declining ones, the market sentiment remains optimistic in the broader market.

Aakash Exploration Services - Heavy buying was witnessed in the counter as the scrip zoomed and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit, recording an intraday high of Rs 10.50 per share on NSE. Established in 2007, Aakash Exploration Services Limited specializes in offering services to the Oil and Gas Field.

 

Alankit - The scrip experienced significant buying activity, resulting in the stock surging and getting locked at 5 per cent upper circuit, reaching an intraday high of Rs 17.15 per share on NSE. The company primarily operates in the e-Governance and e-Governance products sector, demonstrating a successful track record with the completion of multiple e-Governance projects.

 

Astron Paper and Board Mill - A solid price volume breakout was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit to record an intraday high of Rs 30.45 per share on NSE. Astron Paper and Board Mill Ltd specializes in paper manufacturing, producing Kraft Paper from recycled materials.
