Penny Stocks: Stocks likely to be in focus tomorrow!

The following penny stocks are likely to be in focus on Thursday, May 02, 2024.

Tuesday's trading session saw Benchmark indices closing on a positive note, with Sensex showing a moderate decline of 0.25 per cent to close at 74,482.78 and Nifty marginally down by 0.17 per cent at 22,604.85.

The broader market witnessed slight gains, with Nifty Mid-Cap edging marginally higher by 0.07 per cent while Nifty Small-Cap saw a slight decline of 0.04 per cent.

India VIX, indicating market volatility, surged by 5.19 percent.

Top Gainers included Nifty Auto, Nifty Realty, Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Financial Services, while Nifty IT, Nifty Media, Nifty Metal, and Nifty Pharma were among the Top Losers.

In the broader market, 941 stocks advanced, while 1,157 stocks declined, signaling a negative sentiment overall.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam - Heavy buying was witnessed in the counter as the scrip zoomed and got locked at 10 per cent upper circuit, recording an intraday high of Rs 33.85 per share on NSE. Mahanagar Telephone Nigam is engaged in providing telecom services.

Jaiprakash Power Venture - The scrip experienced significant buying activity, resulting in the stock surging and getting locked at 5 per cent upper circuit, reaching an intraday high of Rs 19.95 per share on NSE. Incorporated in 1994, Jaiprakash Power Venture Limited operates in coal mining, sand mining, cement grinding, and production of thermal and hydroelectric electricity.

MIRC Electronics - A solid price volume breakout was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit to record an intraday high of Rs 26.60 per share on NSE. Incorporated in 1981, MIRC Electronics Ltd manufactures and trades consumer electronic products.
