Q1FY21 results: Petronet LNG net profit falls 11 per cent YoY to Rs 499.79 crore

Petronet LNG Limited, one of the fastest growing company in the Indian energy sector, announced its quarterly results on August 17, 2020. The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 499.79 crore for Q1FY21, which declined by 11.06 per cent YoY, as compared to Q1FY20 when it reported Rs 561.94 crore.                                                                                                                                                        

The consolidated net sales reported in Q1FY21 came in at Rs 4,883.57 crore, which declined by 43.3 per cent YoY from Rs 8,613.44 crore in Q1FY20. At EBITDA level, the company stood at Rs 909.94 crore in Q1FY21 that decreased by 11.13 per cent YoY. For Q1FY20, it posted an EBITDA of Rs 1,023.91 crore.                                                                                                                                                           

EBITDA margin as of Q1FY21 was at 18.63 per cent that increased by 6.74 per cent YoY. The net profit margin in Q1FY21 came in at 10.23 per cent, which increased by 3.71 per cent YoY. The net profit margin in Q1FY20 was at 6.52 per cent.   

On Tuesday, the share of Petronet LNG opened 4.14 per cent higher at Rs 265 on BSE.
