Smallcap top gainers when Sensex surged by more than 1000 points on Wednesday
In Wednesday’s trading session BSE Sensex rushed further up by 1.76% i.e., 1,016.03 points on an intraday basis. The index opened at 58,158.56 i.e., is up by 0.91% from the previous close. The day's high index witnessed was 58,702.65 whereas the day's low was 58,122.27. Stocks that supported Sensex to rise were Bajaj Finance Ltd, Reliance Industries Ltd, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and Infosys Ltd. Whereas, stocks such as Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd and Power Grid Corp Ltd were top losers in the same index.
As of today, the Indian equity market closed with a green mark, while all sectoral indices closed on a positive note. S&P BSE SmallCap closed by 1.50% i.e., 426.75 points. Today BSE SmallCap index opened up by 0.87% from the previous close. Even after, BSE Sensex was trading down on Monday small caps were observed to outperform. In today’s trade, Hindustan Construction Company Ltd is the top gainer with 19.95% from the previous close. On an intraday basis, it touched 15.57 which is the day's high besides, and the low was 13.20. The same stock opened 1.69% up from the previous close.
