Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 72.99 points or 0.12 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood flat at 63,158.43 signifying a slight gain of 8.47 points over its previous closing.   

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals fell by 0.07 per cent, power gained 0.16 and auto rose by 0.02 per cent.   

Meanwhile, HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd, India Pesticides Ltd and Central Bank Of India emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.       

HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 7.61 per cent to trade at Rs 2034.95 apiece. Today, Abrdn Investment Management Ltd, part of the promoter group of HDFC AMC will sell its entire stake of 10.2 per cent in the company for minimum of Rs 3,920 crore.

India Pesticides Ltd rallied 3.07 per cent to trade at Rs 235.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.      

Central Bank Of India, an S&P BSE company, climbed 2.98 per cent to trade at Rs 28.34 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
