Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on February 15!

The benchmark indices after a good start increased gains in morning trade. IT, FMCG and auto stocks are the one’s trading strong. The Russia-Ukraine tension has affected the crude oil prices to go up more, while the uncertainties have taken over US Fed's rate hike which is expected to hamper the economic growth. China's monetary authority has pushed 100 billion yuan (US$ 15.7 billion) into the banking system with its medium-term lending facility. A huge sell-off was seen by the FII yesterday of Rs 4,253.70 crore, and the DII of buying was seen of Rs 2,170.29 crore was recorded.  

 

The BSE Sensex index had gained by 422 points and is trading at a level of 56,828.66. The Top stocks on the Index are Hindustan Unilever (2.35 per cent), Wipro (2.13 per cent), and Bajaj Finance (2.06 per cent). BSE MidCap has increased by 86 points and is trading at 23,497.86 points. The gaining stocks today in the index are Sona BLW Precision Forgings (5.53 per cent), Zee Entertainment Enterprises (4.63 per cent), and Jubilant FoodWorks (4.08 per cent). BSE SmallCap also slipped today and is trading at 27,436.26, down 65 points. The top gainers are Sree Rayalaseema HI-Strength Hypo (13.79 per cent), Excel Industries (13.60 per cent), and Dredging Corporation of India (10.72 per cent). 

 

The Nifty 50 index is trading higher at 16,971.80 levels by 129 points. The major contributors are Hero MotoCorp, Eicher Motors, Shree Cement, Hindustan Unilever, and Infosys gaining 2.10 per cent each. The stocks that are in red today are Cipla, Tata Steel, Power Grid Corporation of India, Indian Oil Corporation, and ONGC falling more than 1 per cent each.
