A Quick Switch from Green to Red

In the past one week our world has witnessed a whirlwind of events, a cascade of actions that have spanned from the resounding beats of ‘dhols’ and drums heralding the arrival of Lord Ganesh to the solemn offering of ‘laal sindoor’, the vermilion red symbol of devotion. Yet, even as these sacred traditions unfolded, a different kind of red began to creep into our lives – the crimson hue of financial markets tainted by uncertainty. At the heart of this transformation was an unexpected culprit, a giant of the banking sector, none other than India’s largest private bank, HDFC Bank.
