A solid positive breakout seen in these stocks; do you hold them?

Nifty 50 opened flat with an upward tilt on favourable global trends. In this post, we have identified top stocks that are experiencing a solid positive breakout.

On Tuesday, Nifty 50 began flat with a positive note at 18,089.8 as opposed to its previous closing of 18,014.6. The Wall Street indices remain closed for the holiday season. As a result, domestic markets will most likely follow the lead of their Asian counterparts. However, at the time of writing, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and Nasdaq 100 futures are trading in green. 

 

Furthermore, the monthly expiry of December 2022 derivatives is scheduled for Thursday, which is expected to result in market volatility. On Tuesday, Asian indices were broadly higher. South Korea's Kospi was up 0.39 per cent at 10:30 a.m., Japan's Nikkei was up 0.92 per cent and China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.78 per cent. 

 

Nifty 50 index was trading at 18,035.7 at 10:00 a.m., down 21.1 points or 0.12 per cent. On the contrary, broader market indices outperformed frontline indices. Nifty Mid-Cap 100 index rose 0.73 per cent, while Nifty Small-Cap 100 index advanced by 1.11 per cent. 

 

The advance-decline ratio on the BSE was positive, with 2354 stocks rising, 806 falling and 125 staying unchanged. Banks, financial services, FMCG and pharma were among the sector losers, while metals, real estate and media were among the Top Gainers

 

According to December 26 statistics, FIIs were net sellers, while DIIs were net purchasers. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold Rs 497.65 crore worth of shares. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) invested Rs 1,285.74 crore in shares. On a month-to-date basis, FIIs are net sellers of shares worth Rs 8,967.18 crore, while DIIs are net purchasers of shares worth Rs 20,382.42 crore.
