Alembic Pharma posts 23 per cent net profit growth in Q2
Alembic Pharmaceuticals has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2019. The shares of the company gained around 2 per cent intraday on the back of the result announcement.
The company has reported 7.02 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 268.69 crore for Q2FY20 as compared to Rs 251.06 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 3.44 per cent at Rs 1135.18 crore for Q2FY20 as compared Rs 1097.44 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 23.09 per cent in its net profit at Rs 246.27 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 200.07 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 9.90 per cent at Rs 1241.23 crore for Q2FY20 as compared Rs 1129.43 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
The shares of Alembic Pharma on Tuesday opened at Rs. 544 as against previous close of Rs 539.35 per share on the BSE. At closing hours the stock was trading at Rs 542.45, 0.57 per cent up. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 548 and intraday low was Rs. 540.20. Its 52-week high was Rs. 636.50 and 52-week low was Rs. 435.10 per share on the BSE.
