Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Wednesday with the Sensex down 0.29 per cent at 81,312 and the Nifty-50 down 0.30 per cent at 24,752. About 2,011 shares have advanced, 1,922 shares have declined and 162 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.22 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.50 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Indraprastha Gas Ltd and Bharti Hexacom Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Ravindra Energy Ltd, Techno Electric & Engineering Company Ltd and Apollo Micro Systems Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices traded mixed with the BSE Telecommunication Index and BSE Services Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Metals Index and BSE FMCG Index were the Top Losers.

As of May 28 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 444 lakh crore or USD 5.18 trillion. On the same day, 97 stocks hit a 52-week high while 32 stocks touched a 52-week low.
