The 30-share index, Sensex gained 0.21 per cent or 123.63 points and closed at 60,348.09 while the 50-share index, Nifty closed at 17,754.40 gaining 0.24 per cent. Some of the shares that surged in today's trade out of BSE Group 'A' were Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd, Privi Speciality Chemicals Ltd and Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Limited.
Shares of Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd zoomed 19.99 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 391.70 over its previous close of Rs 326.45. Today, the shares of Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd hit its upper circuit with the intraday high and low of Rs 391.70 and Rs 330.10, respectively.
Another constituent of BSE ‘A’ Group that rallied was Privi Speciality Chemicals Ltd, gaining 14.06 per cent in today’s session closing at Rs 1090.50. Today, the intraday high and low of Privi Speciality Chemicals Ltd were Rs 1132.05 and Rs 954.00, respectively.
Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Limited also rallied 9.95 per cent and closed at its upper circuit at Rs 14.58 over its previous close of Rs 13.26. Today, the intraday high and low of Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Limited were Rs 14.58 and Rs 13.09, respectively.
