Market Update: These companies reached a 52-week high: NIFTY REALTY is the best performer
NIFTY METAL is the worst-performing sector
The previous night we saw a dramatic recovery in the US market and a similar movement in SGX Nifty 50. Taking cues from all these, Nifty 50 opened in marginal red today at 17997.75 against the previous close of 18003.3, which means a gap down of -5.5 points. Currently, it is trading at the 18030 level. Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 24.0 are trading below their previous close and 26.0 are trading above their yesterday close. In today’s trade, more stocks are trading in favour of advances. Overall, we see that more stocks are trading in green.
In today’s trade, the best performing index is NIFTY REALTY it is up by 0.79 per cent. This is followed by NIFTY PHARMA, which is up by 0.64 per cent. The worst performing index currently (at 10:36 AM) is NIFTY METAL. It is down by -1.1 per cent. Out of the total 15.0 companies forming part of the index, 11.0 companies are trading in red, 4.0 are trading in green.
