Market Wrap: Indices close higher with Realty sector leading the way!

On June 6, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) purchased shares worth Rs 385.71 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) offloaded shares worth Rs 489.02 crore.

Market Update at 3:30 PM: Sensex ends higher by 0.56 per cent above 63,100 level and Nifty ends higher by 0.68 per cent above 18,700 level.

Nifty Midcap and Smallcap ends higher by 1.04 per cent and 1.35 per cent respectively.

India VIX surged by 0.53 per cent.

Nifty Realty, Metal and Energy were the top performing sectors towards the end of the day.

Suzlon, Idea and Torrent Power were among the top gaining stocks from the Nifty 500 and Cochin Shipyard, Meghmani Finechem and Bharat Dynamics were among the top losing stocks from the Nifty 500 towards the end of the day.

 

Market Update at 2:15 PM: Sensex trades higher by 0.38 per cent and Nifty trades higher by 0.51 per cent.

Nifty Midcap trades higher by 0.98 whereas Nifty Smallcap trades substantially higher by 1.23 per cent.

India VIX has plunged by 0.7 per cent.

Nifty Realty, FMCG and Metal are among the top performing sectors as of now and Nifty Bank and Financial Services marginally underperform as of now.

Suzlon, Torrent Power and Tata Teleserv are among the top gaining stocks from the Nifty 500 as of now and Cochin Shipyard, VBL and Bharat Dynamics are among the top losing stocks from the Nifty 500 as of now.

 

Market Update at 12:25 PM: Sensex trades higher by 0.23 per cent and Nifty trades higher by 0.33 per cent as of now.

Nifty Midcap trades higher by 0.79 whereas Nifty Smallcap trades substantially higher by 1.24 per cent.

India VIX has plunged by 3.08 per cent.

Nifty FMCG, Media and PSU Bank are among the top performing sectors as of now and currently there is no sector which is underperforming.

Suzlon, Torrent Power and Tata Teleserv are among the top gaining stocks from the Nifty 500 as of now and Meghmani Finechem, Cochin Shipyard, VBL are among the top losing stocks from the Nifty 500 as of now.

 

Market Update at 10:45 AM: Sensex trades higher by 0.12 per cent and Nifty trades higher by 0.23 per cent.

Nifty Midcap trades higher by 0.89 whereas Nifty Smallcap trades substantially higher by 1.04 per cent.

India VIX has plunged by 3.24 per cent.

Nifty Media, Realty and PSU Bank are among the top performing sectors as of now and currently there are no sectors underperforming.

Suzlon, Torrent Power and Tata Teleserv are among the top gaining stocks from the Nifty 500 as of now and Cochin Shipyard, VBL and Angel One are among the top losing stocks from the Nifty 500 as of now.

 

Market Update at 9:35 AM: Sensex opens higher by 0.23 per cent above 62,900 and Nifty opens higher by 0.30 per cent above 18,600 level.

Nifty Midcap and Smallcap have opened higher by 0.62 and 0.6 per cent respectively.

India VIX plunges by 3.08 per cent.

Nifty FMCG, Media and IT are among the top gaining sectors while Nifty Realty is among the top losing sectors.

 

Pre Market Update at 8:35 AM: Dow Jones futures dipped, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 futures traded flat. Stocks edged higher during Tuesday's session, with the broad index and Nasdaq reaching new highs. Dow Jones ticked slightly higher.

In futures, the Dollar index recorded a 0.21 per cent increase, trading at 104.15. Concurrently, the value of one dollar remained around Rs 82.52. Oil prices remained largely unchanged on Tuesday, erasing earlier losses. Concerns about sluggish global economic growth offset Saudi Arabia's commitment to deeper output cuts. Gold and Silver surged by 0.35 per cent and 0.05 per cent respectively.

On June 7, the market is expected to open with a slight increase as indicated by the SGX Nifty, with a gain of 42 points and an initial session opening at 18,728 points. In early trade on June 7, SGX futures reached a high of 18,745.

Securities that are banned for trading in F&O segment on June 7, 2023 are Indiabulls Housing Finance, India Cements and Manappurram Finance.
