New 52-week high: This small-cap stock got approval for Rs 260 crore project! Do you own it?

Va Tech Wabag Ltd shares are currently trading at Rs 371 per share, up 10.8 per cent. It also reached a new 52-week high of Rs 375 apiece, after securing an order worth Rs 260 crore. The project entails engineering and procurement (EP) work for an industrial wastewater treatment plant in Purolite S.R.L, Romania (Purolite).  

 

Purolite, Romania had placed a repeat order with WABAG Water Services S.R.L., Romania ('WABAG Romania'), the European affiliate of Va Tech Wabag Ltd., in the industrial water treatment sector. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months of the initial contact.  

 

Va Tech Wabag Ltd is active in the field of water treatment. Main activities include planning,delivery, installation, construction and operation of drinking water, wastewater treatment plant and industrial water treatment plant. According to the financial statement, the company reported positive quarterly and annual results. On the annual consolidated statement, relative to FY22, when net profit was only Rs 101 crore, it increased to Rs 131 crore or 31 per cent, in FY23.  

 

This company's shares are currently trading at a PE multiple of 13.5 while the industry PE multiple is 23. This indicates excellent managerial performance. Investors should keep an eye on this stock for the upcoming trading session.
