NFO Update: PGIM India Global Select Real Estate Securities Fund of Fund
The NFO opens on November 15, 2021, and closes on November 29, 2021.
PGIM India Mutual Fund is launching India’s First Global Real Estate Securities Fund ‘PGIM India Global Select Real Estate Securities Fund of Fund’. It is an open-ended equity fund of fund scheme investing in PGIM Global Select Real Estate Securities Fund. The NFO opens on November 15, 2021, and closes on November 29, 2021. The Benchmark Index of the fund is the FTSE EPRA NAREIT Developed Index.
Objective: The primary investment objective of the scheme is to generate long-term capital appreciation from investing in the units of PGIM Global Select Real Estate Securities Fund, which primarily invests in REITs and equity-related securities of real estate companies located throughout the world.
PGIM Global Select Real Estate Securities Fund, the underlying fund provides investors with exposure across the US, European, and Asia Pacific real estate markets among other regions.
Investment Strategy: The underlying fund, PGIM Global Select Real Estate Securities Fund has a focus on value-oriented real estate investment based on real estate fundamental research and bottom-up security selection. It has real-time access to proprietary private real estate market information and has a rigorous focus on risk management in security selection and investment process.
The underlying fund, PGIM Global Select Real Estate Securities Fund will invest at least 80 per cent of NAV in equity and equity-related securities of real estate companies located throughout the world. Currently, 62 per cent of the funds' asset is allocated to North America.
A traditional portfolio of equity and bonds can be complemented by adding real estate, as it can help in diversifying the portfolio further.
