Overnight Digest: Stocks likely to be in focus on November 15

Watch out for these stocks in Tuesday's trading session.

Amid volatility, the domestic benchmark indices ended the day in red with Sensex declining 170.89 points or 0.28 per cent at 61,624.15. Nifty was down 20.50 points or 0.11 per cent at 18,329.20. Among the sectors, realty and metal stocks traded on a positive note whereas FMCG stocks traded on a down note.  

Hindalco Industries, Apollo Hospitals, Tata Motors, Grasim Industries and Kotak Mahindra Bank were among the top Nifty gainers, while losers were Dr Reddy's Laboratories, ITC, Coal India, HUL and SBI. 

Watch out for these stocks in Tuesday's trading session - 

Fortis Healthcare - Fortis Healthcare has registered a massive 67 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated profit at Rs 218.24 crore for the Q2FY23, aided by exceptional gain, higher other income and lower tax cost. Consolidated revenue rose by 9.9 per cent to Rs 1,607 crore and EBITDA increased 6.5 per cent to Rs 302.9 crore compared to same period last year. The shares of Fortis Healthcare gained up to 8 per cent on an intraday basis.  

Ambuja Cement - In a range bound market today, the shares of Ambuja Cements touched an all-time high of Rs 586, soaring 5 per cent on an intraday basis. In the past one month, the stock has soared 17 per cent owing to the management's expectation that the lowering of energy prices and post monsoon demand pick up would underpin the company's growth in the coming quarters. 

Life Insurance Corporation - The shares of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) jumped 9 per cent to Rs 682.70 after the company reported 11-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 15,952 crore during July–September (Q2) quarter of FY23. The insurance company reported a net premium income of Rs 1,32,000 crore in Q2FY23, up 27 per cent year-on-year (YoY) from Rs 1,04,000 crore in Q2FY22. The company witnessed a strong business momentum in FY23. 

Price Volume Breakout Stocks - In a weak market today, the shares which were able to show a price volume breakout included Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Manappuram Finance, Rail Vikas Nigam, KRBL and IIFL Holdings.

Quarterly results of Life Insurance Corporation is very much surprising. It re rating the LIC stock and also re rating the entire insurance sector in the coming days.
