Overnight Digest: Stocks to keep an eye on April 12!

Watch out for these large-cap stocks in Wednesday’s trading session!

Metal, power and banking sector stocks helped Indian benchmark indices close the session higher, while BSE information technology emerged as the worst performing sector, losing about 1 per cent. The BSE Sensex gained 0.52 per cent to 60,157 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index surged 0.56 per cent to a level of 17,722.   

Watch out for these Large-Cap stocks in Wednesday’s trading session - 

Kotak Mahindra Bank - Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank ended the session more than 5 per cent higher, making them the top Sensex gainer. The BSE Bankex index was also boosted by significant gains in a number of banking stocks, including Bank of Baroda and AU Small Finance Bank. 

Tata Steel - Shares of Tata Steel experienced significant buying and surged more than 2 per cent. The company reported that Tata Steel India has achieved highest ever annual crude steel production of nearly 19.9 million tons, with a growth of 4 per cent year-on-year.  

Adani Transmission - Shares of Adani Transmission were locked at 5 per cent upper circuits, leading the gains in the BSE Power index. Shares rallied as the Adani group denied a news story published by The Ken alleging that the business had not repaid its $2.15 billion debt.
