Overnight Digest: Stocks to keep an eye on February 02!

Watch out for these large-cap stocks in Thursday’s trading session!

Indian benchmark indices started the day higher as a result of robust gains in the financial services and banking sectors, as well as optimistic global market conditions. The indices then experienced a sharp decline, falling almost 1 per cent but they still managed to finish higher. While BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector was the best performing sector, BSE Telecommunications sector had the worst performance.  

The BSE Sensex advanced 0.27 per cent to 59,708 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index declined 0.26 per cent to a level of 17,616.  

Watch out for these Large-Cap stocks in Thursday’s trading session -  

ITC Ltd - Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced in the Union Budget that cigarette taxes would be hiked by 16 per cent. As the top Sensex gainer, shares of FMCG company ended the session 2.61 per cent higher and traded at a 52-week high of Rs 365.65 per share on the BSE.  

Bajaj Finserv - Shares declined sharply in the second half of the session and finished 5.65 per cent lower. Despite a strong quarter performance, shares have dropped significantly by over 18 per cent in the past month.  

Adani Enterprises - On the last day of the issue, the FPO of the company was fully subscribed. Shares of Adani Enterprises experienced a significant sell-off today, plunging over 28 per cent. Shares of Adani Power and Adani Wilmar were locked at 5 per cent lower circuits.
