On Thursday, at 03:30 pm, the benchmark Indian indices ended the trading session higher with the BSE Sensex Index trading higher, up around 142 points or 0.23 per cent at a level of 60,806.22 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index trading higher, up around 22 points or 0.12 per cent at 17,893.45. About 1,709 shares have advanced, 1,756 declined and 148 are unchanged on BSE.
The top Sensex gainers were Bajaj FinServ Ltd, Asian Paints Ltd and Infosys Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Tata Motors Ltd, Ultratech Cement Ltd and Bharati Airtel Ltd.
The broader market indices were trading flat, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.01 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.15 per cent, respectively.
Top trending stocks on BSE today are Alkem Laboratories, Apl Apollo Tubes, Adani Wilmar, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, KPIT Technologies, One 97 Communication, Sonata Software, UNO Minda, Gujarat Pipavav Port, Trent, Godrej Agrovet, Supreme Industries and Cummins India.
Foreign institutional investors (FII) sold shares worth Rs 736.82 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) purchased shares worth Rs 941.16 crore on February 8.
