The top Sensex gainers were Tech Mahindra Ltd, Nestle India Ltd and Asian Paints Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance Ltd and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.
The broader market indices were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.95 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.92 per cent, respectively.
