Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on May 10

All the three US equity indices fell in the range of 2 to 4 per cent on Monday, as major tech companies like Apple, Alphabet, Meta, and others lost almost $1 trillion market share in the last three trading sessions.  On the sectoral front, only BSE Auto, BSE FMCG, and BSE Telecom were trading in the green.

At 11 am on Tuesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were almost trading flat amidst weak global cues.   

All the three US equity indices fell in the range of 2 to 4 per cent on Monday, as major tech companies like Apple, Alphabet, Meta, and others lost almost $1 trillion market share in the last three trading sessions.  

The European markets also fell as the investors now fear a stagflation scenario to be inevitable in the near future.  

Asian markets are also suffering due to weaker global cues as well as the ongoing COVID crisis in China and the imposed restrictions. 

The crude oil price also fell by 0.45 per cent and was trading at $102.64. The 10-year US Bond yields also eased a bit and were trading at 3.05 per cent.  

Sensex was at 54,537.89, up by 67.22 points or 0.12 per cent while Nifty was at 16,308.65, up by 6.80 points or 0.04 per cent from the last trading session.             

On BSE, 1,495 shares have advanced, 1,586 shares declined whereas 137 shares are unchanged.                

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Eicher Motors, UltraTech Cement, Hindustan Unilever, Bajaj Auto, and Maruti Suzuki. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are ONGC, Coal India, Apollo Hospitals, Tata Steel, and Titan Company.

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 26,558.34, down by 0.31 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals (up by 10 per cent), Dhanvarsha Finvest, Texmaco Rail and Engineering, Craftsman Automation & Entertainment Network. Each of these stocks has gained more than 5 per cent. Similarly, the Top Losers include 63 Moons Technologies, Nazara Technologies, Infibeam Avenues, Tanla Platforms, and Intellect Design Arena.  

On the sectoral front, only BSE Auto, BSE FMCG, and BSE Telecom were trading in the green.
