Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on May 31

On Tuesday around noon, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading flat as compared to the last trading session, owing to a rise in the crude oil price, as the European Union (EU) has finally decided to ban almost 90 per cent crude oil imports from Russia by the end of 2022.

On Tuesday around noon, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading flat as compared to the last trading session, owing to a rise in the crude oil price, as the European Union (EU) has finally decided to ban almost 90 per cent crude oil imports from Russia by the end of 2022.  

The Asia Pacific markets were also trading flat as China’s PMI Index for May contracted for the second consecutive month and missed the 50-point mark. However, the Chinese metals stocks are gaining as the COVID restrictions are easing in the country.  

The US Futures are on the rise, continuing last week’s upward rally. The 10-year Treasury bond yields are trading at 2.833 per cent. 

Sensex was at 55,828, down by 97.74 points or 0.17 per cent while Nifty was at 16,651.80, down by 22.90 points or 0.06 per cent from the last trading session.            

On BSE, 1,853 shares have advanced, 1,315 shares declined whereas 136 shares are unchanged.      

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Mahindra & Mahindra, ONGC, Bajaj Auto, Apollo Hospitals, and Power Grid Corporation of India. Meanwhile, the Top Losers pulling down the index are Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Titan Company, HDFC, Hindustan Unilever, and Kotak Mahindra Bank. 

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 26,423.10, up by 0.88 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were Sree Rayalaseema Hi-strength Hypo, Mirza International, Shriram Properties, Arman Financial Services, and FIEM Industries. Each of these stocks has gained more than 10 per cent. Similarly, the top losers include Nath Bio-Genes (India), SVP Global Textiles, Dynemic Products, Himatsingka Seide, and Grauer Weil (India).    

On the sectoral front, all the sectors were trading in the greener territory, where BSE IT, BE Consumer Durables, BSE Realty, and BSE Teck were up by 3 per cent each.
