Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on May 4

The crude oil price slipped by a per cent and was trading at $103.6. Meanwhile, the bond yields are higher and touched the 3 per cent mark today, in anticipation of the rate hike to be announced by Federal Reserve.  

At 11.30 am on Wednesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 fell sharply after a soft opening in the early morning session. 

The crude oil price slipped by a per cent and was trading at $103.6. Meanwhile, the bond yields are higher and touched the 3 per cent mark today, in anticipation of the rate hike to be announced by Federal Reserve. 

Sensex was at 56,647.45, down by 328.54 points or 0.58 per cent while Nifty was at 16,958.20, down by 110.90 points or 0.65 per cent from the last trading session.            

On BSE, 1,404 shares have advanced, 1,775 shares declined whereas 140 shares are unchanged.             

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are ONGC, Britannia Industries, Power Grid Corporation of India, NTPC, Infosys, and SBI Life Insurance Company. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Apollo Hospitals, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Titan Company, Divi’s Labs, and Sun Pharmaceuticals.   

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 28,899.10, up by 0.42 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were Paisalo Digital (up by 18.16 per cent), KIOCL, Medicamen Biotech, Cosmo Films, and Shivalik Rasayan. Each of these stocks has gained more than 9 per cent. Similarly, the Top Losers include Varroc Engineering, NGL FINE-CHEM, Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Vardhman Textiles, and Repro India.  

Sector-wise on BSE, only IT, oil & gas, realty, and PSU were in the green whereas consumer durables and pharma sectors were down by more than 2 per cent each.
