Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on September 28

The FIIs sold equity worth Rs 2,823.96 crore on Tuesday (September 27) while the DIIs bought equity for a net worth of Rs 3,504.76 crore.    

At noon on Wednesday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 are seen recovering losses after opening on the lower side, owing to a major sell-off amidst recession fears.  

  

The major Asia-Pacific markets also have plunged over 2 per cent and the Indian rupee also hit a new record low against the US dollar at Rs 81.91.  

  

Sensex is trading at 57,153.01, up by 45.49 points or 0.11 per cent while Nifty 50 is trading at 17,017.85, up by 10 points or 0.06 per cent. Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index is trading at the 38,288.05 level, down by 0.18 per cent.

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Sun Pharmaceutical, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Mahindra & Mahindra, Asian Paints, and Eicher Motors. Meanwhile, the stocks pulling down the index include ONGC, ITC, JSW Steel, IndusInd Bank, and Hero MotoCorp.  

  

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 28,111.94, higher by 0.43 per cent. The top gainers in the pack are Rama Phosphates (10.67 per cent), Fermenta Biotech (10.57 per cent), ITI (8.03 per cent),Tejas Networks (7 per cent), and Arvind Smartspaces (6.3 per cent).  

  

On the sectoral front, BSE Telecom, BSE IT, and BSE Healthcare were seen leading while BSE Financial Services, BSE Metal, and BSE Private Banks traded with losses on the bourses today.
