On Tuesday, Indian equity markets closed in the green territory after a choppy session. Core equity indices Nifty 50 and Sensex closed at 16,013.50 and 53,424.09, with gains of 0.95 per cent and 1.10 per cent, respectively. BSE Smallcap index jumped 1.33 per cent, ending at 26,021.90. Top gainers of the index include Vadilal Industries, Kennametal India, Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys, Astra Microwave Products and Gujarat Ambuja Exports.
