As a result of a surge in the volume of more than 144 times, PVR emerged as a stock with the highest turnover of the session.  

The stocks, which are trading around 1-2 per cent of their previous month’s high, are likely to trend stronger in the short to medium term.  

Wednesday turned out to be a wonderful day for the multiplex operators - PVR and Inox Leisure

Ajay Bijli, Chairman, PVR says, “We were in the rescue phase earlier; we are in the revival phase now, and then comes the reimagination phase, where we will definitely look for the diversification.”  

On Friday, both the stocks closed off their day’s high with PVR gaining more than 2.5 per cent while INOX soaring over 6 per cent.

BSE Small-cap index underperformed broader markets, falling by 0.45 per cent, to close the last trading session of the week at 29,702.58.
