On Friday, the Sensex rose by 355 points to close at 57,989.90, while the Nifty 50 gained by marginal 114 points to close at 17,100.05

 At 12.30 pm on Wednesday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading lower as the global economies all over the world are fighting inflation and trying to subdue the inevitable recession

The shares of Texmaco Rail and Engineering Ltd surged to almost 4 per cent on Thursday. The shares off Sugar, Power and Cement companies are on the rise in the afternoon session of the bourses.
