List of the stocks that ended close to their 52-week low in the previous session

On April 17, Indian equity market ended the day in the red after closing positively for nine straight sessions. At close, the Sensex was down by 520.25 points or 0.86 per cent, closing at 59,910.75, while the Nifty was down by 121.20 points or 0.68 per cent, closing at 17,706.80. 

 

Major losers on the Nifty included Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, NTPC, and Larsen and Toubro, while gainers included Nestle India, Power Grid Corporation, SBI, Britannia Industries, and Coal India.

 

Sector-wise, the information technology index fell by 4.7 per cent, and the pharma index was down by 0.6 per cent, while the PSU Bank index was up by 3 per cent. The oil & gas, realty, and FMCG indices also rose by 1 per cent each. In the broad markets, the BSE midcap index added 0.5 per cent, while the smallcap index was up by 0.15 per cent.
