Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 226.05 points or 0.36 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 61,834.33 signifying a loss of 147.46 points or 0.24 per cent.   

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals fell by 0.46 per cent, power gained 0.71 and auto fell by 0.13 per cent.            

Meanwhile, Biocon Ltd, Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd and Adani Transmission Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.      

Biocon Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.23 per cent to trade at Rs 257.35 apiece. The stock jumped as the company reported excellent financial performance with 31 per cent jump in net profit and 57 per cent rise in revenue for the quarter ended March 31, 2023.

Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd rallied 5.79 per cent to trade at Rs 200.05 apiece. The company reported multifold jump in its net profit to Rs 44.8 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2023. 

Adani Transmission Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 5.00 per cent to trade at Rs 909.90 apiece. Leading investment bank Jefferies has assigned a ‘buy’ rating on two Adani group companies Adani Ports and Adani Transmission.
