Venus Remedies forays into consumer healthcare market; share price takes a leap
Venus Remedies Ltd started off with the new consumer healthcare division today by entering into a 30,000 crore consumer healthcare market. This research-driven pharmaceutical company plans to introduce a series of products that would aid pain management, gastroenterology, hygiene, stress management, and vitamins along with supplements segments.
To start with, the company has come up with a pain management solution called R3SET. The consumer healthcare sector is expected to grow at 12-15 per cent annually while the pain management segment forms about 30 per cent of the size of this industry; the largest among all.
The stock price today closed at its upper circuit of 5 per cent at Rs 465.15 on BSE.
Venus Remedies Ltd operates in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in critical care segment, in which, it manufactures super-speciality injectable formulations.
The stock is trading near its 52-week high of Rs 471. Besides, its 52-week low is Rs 55.15.
