Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited (BIL) has announced the receipt of a Letter of Award (LOA) for a significant construction project from the National Highway Authority of India. This domestic Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract is valued at Rs 16,94,53,640 and focuses on comprehensive infrastructure development along the "Four-laning of Jorabat-Shillong (Barapani) section of NH-40 (New NH-6) from km 0.000 to km 61.800" in Assam and Meghalaya.
The project encompasses a range of crucial civil works, including the construction of a rainwater drainage system at 13th Mile near CASFOS, Byrnihat, a steel footpath along Bridge no. 59/4 on the left-hand side (LHS) and multiple Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) at various locations. Additionally, BIL will be responsible for building a service road, truck lay-by areas, and installing street light facilities along the designated project highway. The entire project is slated for completion within a timeframe of 12 months.
