Derivatives Update: Shorts seen in Tata Steel, JSW Steel while long built up in Tata Chemicals, GAIL and Vodafone Idea

Shorts were seen in Gujarat Gas and Cipla even after both the companies declared above estimate quarterly results.

The markets are trading volatile even as BSE Sensex is seen slipping by more than 200 points on an intrday basis. 

Some of the major stocks witnessing huge long built up are Tata Chemicals, GAIL, Metropolis, Astral, Tata Consumer, Havells , Aarti Industries, Tech Mahindra , Deepak Nitrate, SBI Life, Divis Lab, Vodafone Idea and Kotak Mahindra Bank. 

Shorts were seen in Gujarat Gas and Cipla even after both the companies declared above estimate quarterly results. Escorts, Bandhan Bank, LIC Housing Finance, Shree Cements, Muthoot Finance, RIL, Torrent Power, Ambuja Cement, Bharat Forge and Bajaj Auto are some of the major stocks trading under pressure owing to short built up. 

Short covering was seen in PFC, IOC, Maruti, Mphasis, NTPC, Coal India, Coforge, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank and Alkem. 

Torrent Power, RBL Bank, Page Industries and UPL are seen trading weak owing to long unwinding.
