Hero MotoCorp jumps 4 per cent on new launch; stock almost doubles since March lows

To capture demand growth during the festive season, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles & scooters, Hero MotoCorp continues to make additions to its product portfolio. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Hero MotoCorp announced the launch of Xtreme 200S BS-VI.

The main focus of Xtreme 200S is to cater to the younger generation by offering a unique combination of performance, styling & differentiated appeal. Available with a BS-VI engine with advanced XSens technology, the bike is fitted with an oil-cooler and is also offered in a new pearl fadeless white color. Additionally, this enhanced version of the bike has many more complimentary benefits.

Currently, the Xtreme 200S BS-VI is priced at around Rs 1,15,715 across Hero MotoCorp showrooms in the country.

The company expects the success of Xtreme 200S BS-VI to positively impact its revenue growth, going forward.

Recently, Hero MotoCorp also successfully delivered 751 units of Hero Glamour BS-VI motorcycle to Karnataka’s police department.

For Q2FY21, on a consolidated basis, the company’s net sales rose by 23.66 per cent YoY to Rs 9,473.22 crore while its net profit increased by 9.32 per cent to Rs 950.85 crore in Q2FY21 from Rs 869.78 crore gained in Q2FY20.

On Wednesday, the stock of Hero MotoCorp closed at Rs 3,059.80, up by 3.65 per cent or Rs 107.85 per share. The 52-week high is Rs 3,393.85 while its 52-week low is Rs 1,475 on BSE.
