Index Fund

I am heavily invested in large-cap funds and am thinking of shifting to index funds. Is it the right step? Also, should I go for ETFs instead of index funds?

Editor Responds : Index funds or ETFs are passively managed while large-cap funds are actively managed. If you are actively monitoring your portfolio, you can go with large-cap funds or else index fund or ETFs are a good option. Between ETFs and index funds, if you are not actively trading, index funds will serve your purpose.
