Jubilant FoodWorks rises after Dominos Pizza launches first plant protein pizza

India’s leading quick service restaurant (QSR) chain, Domino’s Pizza has announced the launch of ‘The Unthinkable Pizza’, country’s first plant protein-based product.

As per its name, ‘The Unthinkable Pizza’, it would be purely made from plant-based proteins. Being a hundred per cent vegetarian product, it will have all the sensory properties of chicken. Plant proteins have already caught the imagination of consumers all over the world. Domino’s Pizza will be the first QSR brand to bring this trend to India.

The launch of this product will thereafter provide both, the vegetarians and non-vegetarians, an interesting and innovative option in the menu. The product will be launched after an extensive consumer testing. Initially, this new pizza will be made available in all Domino’s outlets across Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru only.

India’s largest foodservice company, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited (JFL) is a part of Jubilant Bhartia Group. Its Domino’s Pizza franchise has a deep network with 1,264 restaurants in 281 cities. It also operates internationally in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd, after touching a low of Rs 2,580 during the early market hours today, bounced back strongly and closed at Rs 2,720, 1.55 per cent above its previous close.
