L&T Construction receives various orders

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction has been awarded various contracts from many prestigious clients spread across the country.

The company’s Water and Effluent Treatment business received an EPC order from the Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company Limited (JUIDCO) to augment and strengthen the Dhanbad Urban Water Supply Scheme phase 2. It includes design and construction of a structure of intake capacity of 77 MLD, two water treatment plants of an aggregate capacity of 15.5 MLD, transmission and distribution of pipelines of 584 Km, ground level service reservoirs of an aggregate capacity of 8,600 KL, etc.

L&T GeoStructure bagged an order from the State Project Management Unit, Government of West Bengal for flood protection works and the embankment strengthening of the Damodar river in East Bardhhaman and Hooghly districts in West Bengal. Other orders include for the construction of stone columns in Krishnapatnam from BPCL, construction of piles and related civil work for the 2x660 MW STPP coal and ash handling plant at Ennore from BHEL, and other construction-related work for clients.

The company’s buildings and factories business received an order for executing mechanical works for cement plant at Kurnool. It also received orders for its existing projects across the Transportation Infrastructure (TI) and Metallurgical and Material Handling (MMH).

Larsen & Toubro is engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services.

On Monday, the stock of the company closed at Rs. 1,416.90, down by 0.43 per cent or Rs. 6.15 per share. The 52-week high is Rs. 1,606.70 and 52-week low is Rs. 1,202.30 on BSE.
