Nifty and Sensex Up Over 1 per cent, Honasa Hits Market Cap of Rs 10,000 Crore, RPower Jumps 15 per cent
On the other hand, Nifty FMCG and IT led the gains, each rising by over 1 per cent.
The Indian equity benchmark indices continue to trade in positive territory with gains of over 1 per cent. The Nifty is nearing the 24,900 mark, while the Sensex is approaching 81,800. The Nifty Bank is trading above the 55,400 level.
Most sectoral indices were seen trading in the green, barring Nifty Pharma, which was down by 0.7 per cent. On the other hand, Nifty FMCG and IT led the gains, each rising by over 1 per cent.
The broader market indices were also trading in the green, with the Nifty Midcap and Small-Cap up by 0.65 per cent and 0.87 per cent, respectively.
In stock-specific action, Honasa Consumer was up nearly 18 per cent, trading near the day’s high and reclaiming a market cap of Rs 10,000 crore. The share price of Reliance Power (RPOWER) jumped over 15 per cent, nearing its 52-week high.
