Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The top mid-cap gainers were Indraprastha Gas Ltd, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Aarti Industries Ltd.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Friday with the Sensex up 0.37 per cent at 80,797 and the Nifty-50 up 0.47 per cent at 24,461. About 2,562 shares have advanced, 1,460 shares have declined and 180 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 1.45 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 1.23 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Indraprastha Gas Ltd, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Aarti Industries Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Universal Cables Ltd, BMW Industries Ltd and Netweb Technologies India Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices traded mixed with the BSE Services Index and BSE Oil & Gas Index were the Top Gainers while the BSE Bankex Index was the only top loser.

As of May 05, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.28 lakh crore or USD 5.08 trillion. On the same day, 78 stocks hit a 52-week high while 63 stocks touched a 52-week low.
