Sterlite Technologies grow its patent portfolio by 34 per cent

Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL), a leading integrator of data networks, announced on Wednesday that it has increased 258 global patent portfolios to its credit, including 93 patent applications filed in FY20 for its optical connectivity, network services and virtual mobile edge solutions. The company filed these patents globally, including in India, US, Europe and China.

In a rapidly evolving world with technological advancements, patents enable the creation of unique solutions that can be implemented across the global markets. STL’s patents enable its customers with unique application-driven solutions based on STL developed technologies.

Commenting on this announcement, Dr Badri Gomatam, Group CTO of STL stated that the company has evolved from an optical fibre company to industry’s leading integrator of data networks as well as one of the key drivers and building blocks for this transformation has been its undivided focus on developing unique solutions for the evolving converged network. He further stated that the company’s longstanding focus on intellectual property creation with its four innovation centres strengthen its position in the markets in which it operates.

Sterlite Technologies Ltd is a global technology company engaged in the designing, building and managing smarter digital networks.

On Wednesday, the stock closed at Rs 66.40, down by 1.26 per cent or Rs 0.85 per share. The 52-week high is recorded at Rs 217 and the 52-week low is Rs 59.80 on BSE.
