Nifty Auto stocks saw a constant fall amid weak markets in today's session. Banks, auto, and consumer durables stocks were the worst hit, due to the continued escalation of the Russia-Ukraine war and soaring oil prices. The Nifty FMCG index fell 1.80 per cent to 34,390.70 and has lost 3.16 per cent in three sessions. Also, the European bourses are set for a weak open as Euro Stoxx 50 futures and German DAX futures shed 2.6 per cent, while FTSE futures lost 1.4 per cent.
The BSE Sensex after falling early morning has recovered but is still down by 302 points and is trading at a level of 54,811.10. The top gaining stocks today are ITC, Dr Reddy Laboratories, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, and HCL Technologies. BSE MidCap is also trading in red, down by 305 points at 22,860.61 points. BSE SmallCap has dropped today by 153 points and is trading at 26,570.43. The Nifty 50 index is trading at 16,392.50 levels slipping by 105 points. The top gaining stocks are ITC, UltraTech Cement, Tech Mahindra, and Sun Pharmaceuticals gaining more than 1.6 per cent each. The stocks that have declined today are Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilever, Titan, and JSW Steel, falling more than 3 per cent each.
