L&T bags new orders from 2 states
Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm, L&T Construction has informed that its Water & Effluent Treatment Business has secured orders from prestigious clients of two states in India. Shares climbed post the announcement in the noon, however, at the end, closed flat.
An EPC order has been bagged by the company for the Gunjawani project piped distribution network including the Narayanpur Lift Irrigation Scheme from Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation-WRD, Pune. While another EPC order has been secured from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department to execute two individual rural piped water supply projects in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district.
The aggregate scope of work includes design & construction of two intake structures, two water treatment plants, 1,745 Km of transmission & distribution pipelines, 58 overhead service reservoirs, 9 booster pumping stations and associated electromechanical & instrumentation works.
L&T is an Indian multinational engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services with over US$ 18 billion in revenue.
The shares of Larsen & Toubro on Thursday opened at Rs. 1369.80 against Wednesday’s close of Rs. 1363. At closing hours, it was trading at Rs. 1362.50, flat at 0.04 per cent from its previous close. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1379 and intraday low was Rs. 1355.50. Its 52-week high was Rs. 1,606.70 and 52-week low was Rs. 1,183.40 per share on the BSE.
