Registering a stupendous 2 per cent gain, the benchmark indices recovered as the central government announced the rollback of FPIs surcharge, a fiscal package for state-owned banks and stimulus for auto sector to revive the economy on Friday.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged two orders for emission control equipment at its thermal power plants. The orders that are worth Rs. 2500 crore, were placed by public sector power company - NTPC Limited.

Civil engineering construction company B.L. Kashyap and Sons Limited received orders in Bengaluru and Trivandrum. Following the announcement, the stock was locked in its upper circuit in post lunch session on Monday.

Following stocks are close to their 52-weeks low as at 13:42 p.m. on August 26, 2019.

The markets on August 26, 2019 opened gap up. BSE Sensex is trading at 37,409.81, up by 708.65 points and the Nifty is trading at 11,029.00, up by 199.65 points.
