Oil India Limited (OIL) has won oil & gas blocks under Open Acreage Licensing Policy (OALP) rounds II & III by winning 12 blocks out of 32 blocks. Many leading operators had submitted bids, out of which OIL has emerged as the biggest winner.

The following stocks would be in focus during Wednesday’s trading session in light of their results announcement: ACC, Colgate-Palmolive, Larsen & Toubro Infotech, Rallis India and Sterlite Technology.

The company posted positive financial results for the June quarter with growth in its net income by 12.6 per cent YoY to Rs. 23.9 billion and EPS was Rs. 3.97 per share which increased by 12.5 per cent YoY, on Wednesday.

The WPI Inflation continued its declining trend as it dropped to 2.02 per cent YoY in June 2019 from 2.45 per cent YoY in May 2019, thereby plummeting to a 23-month low.

The Water and Effluent Treatment Business of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction and Tecton Engineering & Construction LLC, UAE has secured a contract for 100 MLD Desalination plant from Industrial Development Corporation. L&T and Tecton operate as a joint venture company.
