The markets on July 12, 2019 opened gap down. BSE Sensex is trading at 38,835.49, up by 12.38 points and the Nifty is trading at 11,586.60, up by 3.70 points. 

The first company to react to the 20 per cent buyback tax introduced in the Union Budget is KPR Mills. KPR Mill on Thursday informed the bourses that it would withdraw its buyback scheme owing an increase in the amount of Buyback obligation due to the tax proposed in the Finance Bill 2019.
