At the time of writing, the SGX Nifty was trading near the dotted line at 11,868 level. In today’s session, OMCs are likely to react negatively after a sharp surge in crude oil prices.

The markets closed at higher levels at the culmination of Thursday’s trading session with the Sensex rising by 1.25 per cent and Nifty50 up by 1.2 per cent. The stock that showcased dramatic gains was Jet Airways as it gained nearly 121.97 per cent!

The Board of Directors of Amara Raja Batteries have recommended a final dividend of Rs. 5.08 per equity share (representing 508 per cent) on the equity share of Rs. 1 each fully paid up for by the end of the financial year March 31, 2019.

The sales volumes of automobiles showcased a declining trend across most states of India in the month of May. Merely eight states witnessed YoY growth in vehicle registrations on a lower base. Of these, five states are located in the north-eastern regions of India.
